Being recognized as a major Myanmar based domestic airline, the AIR KBZ is owned by Kanbawa Bank. It started its operations in 2011. A codeshare agreement has been made between Myanmar International Airways and this airline in 2015. The first international flight from Yangon to Chiang Mai is commenced by this airline in 2016.
AIR KBZ Airlines serves 20 destinations in Myanmar that includes Yangon, Bagan, Thandwe, Heho, Tachilek, Banmaw, Kalaymyo, Dawei, Putao, Kawthaung, Sittwe, Lashio, Putao, Kengtung, Mergui, Myitkyina, Myeik, Mandalay, and others. The fleet of this airline is comprises of three ATR 72-500 and has five a new generation of ATRs,TR 72-600, that provides the excellent superior air transport services to their customers. The maintainence of these aircrafts is done in Yangon by AIR KBZ facility. This airline has standardized maintenance procedures for the management & organized supervision of the Engineering and Flight Operations Deparments, for the safety of the customers.
