Generally known as Lufthansa German Airline is one of the largest airlines being operated in Europe. The headquarters of this airline lies in Cologne & operates from Frankfurt Airport which is one of the main hub and other major hub is Munich airport.

The maximum number of aircrafts comes from two manufacturers- Boeing & Airbus but also from Embraer, Fokker, Bombardier & BAE Systems, for the shorter or medium routes. Along with all the subsidiaries, the Lufthansa group has 615 aircrafts in total.

For the long-haul routes – Airbus A340-600, A380-800, A330-300, A340-300 and the BBJ 737-800 IGW, Boeing 747-8, 747-400 are typically used.

But for the medium haul routes, the Boeing 737-300, 737-500 and the Airbus A321-100/200, A319-100, A320-200 are generally operated.

And for shorter routes-CRJ900, ERJ-190, 195 and the Bombardier aircrafts are used.
