An Indian domestic Airline, Vistara is a new airline which was started in 2015 and being managed by Tata SIA Airlines Ltd.

Vistara is rooted in Gurgaon (India) and its main hub is Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi).

The first flight of Vistara airline flew between Delhi and Mumbai and by the year 2016 it has flown more than 2 million passengers.

Now, to everybody’s surprise, Vistara is the sixth largest domestic airline and has a share of 3.3% of the Indian market for domestic-carriage.

Furthermore, it was also the first airline to introduce a premium economy seats for the domestic routes.

Other Rules For Baggage Allowance For Vistara Airlines:

1. There is “No-Free Baggage” for any passengerflying with their kids or infants
2. Passengerswho are active or retired armed forces personnel can also the enjoy the special baggage allowance. It can vary up to 20 Kg but the dimensions shouldn’t exceed 158 cm (length X height X width).
3. As per the other rules regarding carrying the alcoholic beverages included under the policy of “Check-in Baggage,”passengers are allowed to carry 5 liters (max). Also, the beverages bottles should be properly packed.
4. Electronic smoking devices and any other related devices are totally restricted underCheck-in Baggage Policies.

International Baggage Allowance:

The passengers flying through international flights of the Vistara, based on  the passenger flying class they are designated to a special Baggage allowance.

They just need to show the copy of their boarding pass or their international e-ticket at the time of flight check-in for the verification.

Hand Baggage Allowance by Vistara Airlines:

• Carriage of liquids essentials like shampoos, lotions, gels, toothpaste in a carry-on, the limit shouldn’t exceed of 100 ml.
• Flights originating from theSrinagar airports, no allowance for hand baggage is there except for the laptop bags ladies purse.
• Sikh passengers are allowed tocarry ‘Kirpan’ but the maximum length related to it should be 9 inches & the blade should be 6 inches.
• Basic essentials like a camera, blanket, an overcoat, book, an umbrella, collapsible wheelchair, walking stickor a laptop is completely allowed to carry.

Other General Rules:

FOR INFANTS:

• Infants , one week older or less are not allowed to fly with Vistara.
• On the date of travel, the infant age proof can be asked to the concerned passengerby the TSA on the date of travel at the airport.
• Infantsalso needs to check-in at the airport with their boarding pass and the valid tickets.
• There is allowance entitled for the infantsbut not for every class.
• The infants are fully restricted from sitting on the emergency exit row. While flying.

FOR PETS:

Passengers are not at all allowed to travel through Vistara airlines.

FOR UNACCOMPANIED MINORS:

• Infants aged5 to 12 years are not allowed to fly alone or with the company of another passenger who is not 18 yet. If yes, then the passenger will be considered as an unaccompanied minor.
• Infants under the of 5 years of equivalent 5 are not allowed to travel alone.
• Handicapped passengers specially blind, deaf and mute are not travel alone.
• In case,the unaccompanied minor needs some assistance an additional fare of 1900/- will be charged on the flight-fare.
• Also, for traveling as an unaccompanied minor, the passenger need to submit aunaccompanied minor form to TSA’s staff before the departure of the flight.
• A valid photo and an identification proof is mandatory in case of unaccompanied minor.

FOR STUDENTS:

Vistara airline proffers some special discounts to the students, flying through their flights.

• Respective student should be anIndia student studying in a authentic school in India.
• For redeeming the discounts,student’s minimum age must be 12 years or above .
• These discounts are specially offered on the bookings made in India by the airline.
• A bonafidestudent Id proof issued by the school/educational institution is mandatory to carry at the airport.

• Vistara airline proffers up to10% off on the basic-adult ticket fare to its economy class passengers.
• And the free baggage of 15kgCheck-in luggage is allowed to the student with the &7 kg of hand bag.

FOR SENIOR CITIZENS:

To avail the discounts for the senior citizens you need to fulfill the below conditions:

• Passengers must be 60 years or above of age.
• Th\e senior citizen discounts are only applicable for the air bookings made in India.
• 10% off on the adult base fare can be enjoyed by the passengers of economy class.
• Free extra baggage allowance of 15 kg Check-in bags and 7 kg of  hand bag is also there.

FOR TRAVELERS WITH INTERNAL MEDICAL DEVICES:

If the passenger flying with the airline is under some medical condition and needs to carry medical devices like defibrillator or pacemaker then, you need to inform the airline while confirming the booking and also to the security personnel at the airport conducting the screening process for the patient.

No entertainment services is available for the passenger other than the business class travelers which is compensated by pre-loaded tablets.

In 2016, Vistara airline started one way Wi-Fi connection service which allowed streaming content on the passengers personal electronic devices through a one-way Wi-Fi connection.

LOUNGE:

In 2016, Vistara airlines started the lounge services for the business class passengers and the cardholders of Club Vistara Gold. The lounge 250 square  big can accommodate 75 people at a time.

The lounge is situated at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Terminal 3 (Delhi.)
