Situated in the 2,384 acres of land, Boston International Airport is an International Airport in the Boston city of United States. The airport comprises of 4 passage and terminals and 6 runways.
It is named after General Edward Lawrence Logan and has placed 17th on the list of busiest airports in the U.S. The airport is serving more than 35 million people through out the year. Logan Airport is the operational base for the airlines like JetBlue and Delta. Other major airlines like American Airlines and United Airlines are also the part of the daily transcontinental flight operation. The airport provides its services to other major European airlines like Air New England, Braniff International Airways, American Eagle etc. There are a number of destinations which are covered by the Boston International Airport like North America, The North Atlantic Region, Asia, Europe, Latin America and many more. An expansion in the growth and development can be measured from the past few years in terms of passenger traffic and new route support by the numerous renowned airlines including Avianca, Emirates, Japan Airlines, Air Europa, Cathy Pacific, Qatar Airways, Hainan Airlines and others. The Boston International Airport consists of 102 gate positions which has four passage and terminals A,B,C and E. Pre Security shuttle buses make it easy for the passengers to move from through the different terminals.
Terminus A
This terminal A gets in passenger service on March 16, 2005. It was designed by Obata, Kassabaum, and Hellmuth. The terminal has other segments known as main terminal and satellite building. There is an underground couloir linking the satellite building and the main terminus. It was refined under the exclusive service lease between Delta Airlines and Massachusetts Port Authority. There are 2 Delta Sky Clubs one of which is situated at the 3rd floor of the satellite building and the other one is located at the site of Old Continental Airlines President Club in the main terminal building.
Terminal B
Terminus B was opened in the year 1974 and was designed by John Carl Warnecke & Associates and Desmond & Lord Inc. In the year 2000, the whole terminus got renovated by HNTB along with various other small projects. It includes the passenger lounge and seating area improvements.
Terminal C
This was constructed in the year 1967 and designed by Hepburn, Dean, Shaw and Perry. Terminus c has 4 Gate segments which includes C8-C10, C11-C21, C25-C36 and C40-C42. In addition to this the terminus C also has security points which connects C11 to C21 on the left side of the passage and on right provides the access to C25 to C36.
Terminal E
The Terminal E of the Logan International Airport is named after John A.Volpe, the former Governor of Massachusetts and the U.S secretary of Transportation. It keeps control and check over the International arrivals. Terminus E was designed by Kubitz &Papi, Incorporation in association with Desmond & Lord Incorporation. The construction came to end in the year 1974. More improvements in passenger facilities and services were also the part of the Terminal E projects and was completed in the year 1997.
