Chandigarh Airport
Coded as IXC, Chandigarh International Airport serve three North Indian states of India Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh. The runway of the airport is situated in Chandigarh city which is an Union Territory and also the capital of two states i.e. Haryana & Punjab.
Pragmatically, the Chandigarh airport is located in Jhiurheri, Mohali (Punjab) which is geographically near Chandigarh city.
TERMINALS:
The old terminal of this airport has now been replaced by a new one. The then Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi inaugurated that new terminal in the year 2015.
This new terminal is actually eco-friendly and was constructed Larsen & Toubro.

For VIPs and Flying club, the old terminal is used and the new terminal has four aero-bridges for parking & eight hangars
The ground floor is used for the arrivals of the passengers and the first floor is used for the departures.
The first phase of the terminal covers an area over 53,000 square meters. The terminal supports more than 1, 600 passengers with a big parking space which can accommodate more than 150 vehicles.
AIRPORT FACILITIES:
Just like any other airport in India, Chandigarh airport provides several facilities to its passengers. Presently, the terminal contains lounges & restaurants, snack bars, currency exchange office, cosmetics & skincare products outlet.
Duty free stuff is not available at Chandigarh airport.
Tourism Information Counter:
For the ease of the passenger, there re counter available for any inquiry purpose and this is operated by CITCO (Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited). Located in the arrival hall, information counter is for one and all.

Though there are not many local taxi service available in the Chandigarh city still, the taxi service counter is available at the arrival hall where national flights arrives.
