As the food options are too limited while some airlines don’t provide food at all. While those who provide food especially in the business class only include – snacks, sandwiches, cheese, and fruit plates. Another factor is that if you are allergic to certain foods then it may possess some issues regarding your health. So bear that in mind when you board your next India to the USA flight or between other destinations, especially long-haul.

But there are options available for the passengers to carry eatables in the plane. As you know that buying food from the airport may be quite costlier, but at least you are able to choose the eatables according to your needs.

Understanding TSA Regulations

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) restricts all the liquids and gels in containers whose amount is larger than 1 liter in carrying on luggage. You can buy these in fewer quantities which will fit in the zip-close plastic bag. Some of these eatables may include- frosting, sauces, cream cheese, puddings, jelly, peanut butter, and dips. Moreover, there are no restrictions on certain items such as- baby milk, baby food, juices for infants and liquid medicines. Also, take care of airline-specific luggage policies. For instance, Singapore Airlines checked baggage policy may differ from Lufthansa’s.

Plan Your In-Flight Menu

Salads, wraps, and sandwiches are easy to carry and can be consumed in an airplane. Don’t forget to carry these items in a clean and secure box so as to prevent leaks of any sort. If you love snacking, then carrying vegetable chips or any other snack would be a good option. In addition to this, you can also have instant foods that include- oats, magi and hot cereals.

If you traveling to any foreign country, then discard your remaining food because some of the countries restrict these kinds of food items.

Consider Your Fellow Passengers Comfort and Safety

It is important to consider comfort as well as the safety of your fellow passengers. As you don’t know which of them are allergic to certain foods, therefore it is better to ask them before you begin to eat.

The main thing is to avoid those eatables that have a strong odor such as onion and garlic because it may annoy your fellow passengers. Unless on flights to Chennai from the USA. But, seriously, don’t!
