Air India Flights to US Doubled From 7th August

Previously when the second wave of pandemic COVID19 hit India, US imposed significant restrictions on travelers from India, beginning from 4th May. During this time, to accommodate the decreased number of passengers, Air India has reduced its number of weekly flights from approximately 40 to below 10.

Since a large number of Indians are heading for universities in US this fall, the India to US and US to India student flights are nearly doubled. Air India airlines will operate at least 21 non- stop flights to the US per week.

The main destinations for such flights are mainly New York (JFK and Newark or EWR), followed by those to Chicago and San Francisco, according to trusted sources in the know. Other than Air India, United Airlines is the only airline providing non- stop students flights between the two countries and not modifying India’s flight frequencies for now.
