American Airlines Moving to a Larger -9 Dreamliner

American Airlines will be putting up a large fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. These will operate out of the airline’s 3rd biggest hub at  Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The leading airliner will add a new Canadian route next summer. The American Airlines will firstly switch out with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for the newer stretch Boeing 787-9. This would be on two of its 4 non-stop flights between O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR).

Being the most popular route out of O’Hare, it is not only flown by American Airlines but United Airlines along with British Airways. Another confirmation by American Airlines says that a third 787-9 will be added on the ORD-LHR route next summer. The airliner’s 4th daily ORD-LHR service will continue to operate on the Boeing 787-8. Also, keep an eye out on cheap flight ticket deals.

What was the reason behind AA’s move to the bigger Boeing 787-9? Actually the frequent travelers requested the premium seating arrangement, and the airliner responded this request with this latest Boeing 787-9. The addition of over 30 main cabin seats, with more than 20 Premium Economy seats, including a business class with 30 lie-flat seats. And most of all more legroom especially in the economy class. Moreover, you can cut your airfare by booking cheap flights from Atlanta to India.

This was a smart move from AA, so as to get a further lead up against United Airlines. Meanwhile, United Airlines haven’t responded whether they will also upgrade its international fleet out of O’Hare in the near future. Apart from this, the American Airline will commence its flight services from O’Hare to Quebec, Canada.
