With the sanctum Sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya set to be finished by December 2023, the completion of the airport project construction will be a big step forward.

Ayodhya Airport Expands Uttar Pradesh’s International Air Connectivity
With the addition of the Ayodhya Airport, Uttar Pradesh would become the only state in India to have five international airports with last minute flights service. The state of Uttar Pradesh already has two operational international airports: Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Lucknow) and Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (Varanasi). The construction of Kushinagar International Airport (Gorakhpur) and Noida International Airport is now progressing (Jewar).
They will build the Ayodhya Airport in three phases, covering 821 acres of land. Moreover, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) is in charge of the construction. Furthermore, Vishal Infrastructure, located in Bangalore, won the bid for runway construction. As a result, the UP government anticipates that the Ayodhya Airport would be operational in June 2023.
To mimic the Ram temple and provide visitors with a view of the Ramayana era, they would elevate the Ayodhya Airport.
“The airport’s design will represent Ram Mandir’s vision and ethos. Additionally, it will elicit a feeling of spirituality, establishing a sense of place for all passengers coming and departing from the airport. According to AAI, in a news release, they claim that they shall design the terminal’s glass façade to evoke a sensation of being in the very palace of Ayodhya.
The statement indicates that the new terminal structure, which comprises a total space of 6,000 square meters, will service 300 people during peak hours and has an annual handling capacity of 600,000 passengers.
