Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar (Punjab)
On 13 April 1919, the heart of Amritsar city witnessed a mass execution of thousands of innocent people peacefully protesting British rule. Consequently, Acting Brigadier-General Dyer directed soldiers to open fire in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, blocking all exits.
