As consulted from schedules by Cirium, the last flight of American Airlines in India flew to New Delhi in 2012. After that, it operated daily flights from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) with the help of a Boeing 777. This was due to the fact that Chicago was the center of operations for American Airlines, although it was difficult to make the route work. Eventually, they had to cut it, citing reasons for high oil prices and financial performance.

However, it would be interesting to note that New Delhi is not the first city in India that was announced as a part of the American Airlines return to the country of India. That actually goes to Bangalore which will be connected to Seattle by next March. Seattle to Bangalore direct flights was announced as a part of the carrier’s tie-up with Alaska Airlines that serve the business travelers wanting to visit the IT hub of the country India.

The second is the standard economy seating with 188 seating options to choose from. Along with the wide variety of seating choices, American Airlines also offers all passengers aboard this aircraft access to on-demand entertainment via a set-back screen.
