Pelling

The Pemayangtse Monastery in Pelling has a giant gold-plated statue of Guru Padmasambhava along with beautiful wall paintings and sculptures.

Gurudongmar Lake
Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, which is situated at the height of 5,430 meters above sea level. This lake is considered sacred by three religions: Hindus, Buddhists, and Sikhs. Rare Yaks and blue sheep are also seen here.
